this past weekend was nothing but great chaos. on thursday i started hanging/painting the gallery. i brought all the stuff there and painted the mural on the wall…


then we grabbed fabi at around midnight from midnight and hit up mr. greeks for some well deserved food! i love me some number 9 chicken philly!!!

then friday, jamie helped me hang and arrange all the pieces. i turned out great thanks to jamie!!!


fabi was back at our place doing some work so we scooped him up and had our “lunch” at around 5:30. we grabbed us some johnny’s beef out in elmwood park. toooooooo goood.

to end friday, we had a nice relaxing night of LUCHA LIBRE MEXICANA AT THE CONGRESS!!!! i took my nephews along! it was great! fabi, jamie, chris, coby and i all went. the two kids even got their own masks. it was great! i was i took a pic after cause coby was knocked out and chris refused to take off his mask. hahaha. those are two awesome kids!


and ofcourse saturday was the show at a.okay. tried to relax mostly. did an interview for a.okay before the show. hung up my last piece and got ready for future chaos. i myself didnt take any pictures, but jamie’s brother jernie (new nickname) did and ill post those up as soon as theyre available.

then sunday, jamie and i went to ihop for breakfast and then we headed to art chicago over at the merchandise mart. and i met one of my all time biggest inspirations!!!! mr. dave kinsey!!!! jamie was laughing at me saying i was stammering, shaking and sweating! ive never been star struck before, but when you meet someone who’s inspired you so much its so hard not to!!! i even saw gabe lanza there! i wish i took a pic with him too! there was so much great work there, i was just kinda gone once i met kinsey


we did a little bit of dim sum at furama later on that night, hung out with fabi before he left and then laid down and caught up with lost. can you believe how cold blooded that execution was?! and ben is kind of a bad ass! he’s tooooo smart. so many more questions about the show!!!!

right before i had to paint at avenue m, jamie and i ate at sushi x. the place would be cool if they didnt play annoying and horrible techno all loud the entire time. the sushi was good otherwise. we also had some mochi balls. mu ah ah ahah.

avenue m was pretty swanky. nice place, thanks to pls mag for having me paint. saw joey, revise, tewz and the grocer there.


got to see juno and lars and the real girl. juno was good, the only thing that got kind of annoying was ellen page. i thought lars and the real girl was great! ryan gosling does an awesome job being this awkward borderline hermit that goes delusional. sort of over the top with this caring small town utopia, but nice to think maybe a community like that would pull it all together to help a member. watch’em both!
